The Number of NFT Creators who Collect

I've always believed that creators reinvesting in the community by buying from other creators is the highest signal of a strong NFT market. Today we're taking a look at how many NFT creators are also collectors πŸ‘‡

[1/4] SuperRare

Creators who are Collectors: 232

% of Creators who Collect: 17%

Creator-Collectors Median Number of Purchases: 2

Creator-Collectors Median Spend: $2,018.15

Creator-Collectors who have invested the most: @Hanrgb, @Coldie, @frenetikvoid

[2/4] Rarible

Creators who are Collectors: 12,887

% of Creators who Collect: 1.2%

Creator-Collectors Median Number of Purchases: 2

Creator-Collectors Median Spend: $3,752.14

Creator-Collectors who have invested the most: @Dikasso_, @pranksyNFT, 0x139a...460f

[3/4] Foundation

Creators who are Collectors: 1,894

% of Creators who Collect: 11.8%

Creator-Collectors Median Number of Purchases: 1

Creator-Collectors Median Spend: $722.91

Creator-Collectors who have invested the most: @mondoir, @StaniKulechov, robekworld

[4/4] MakersPlace

Creators who are Collectors: 656

% of Creators who Collect: 20.3%

I don't have the purchase data for MakersPlace Creator-Collectors. If you work for MarkersPlace or know somebody who does pass this message to the dev team for me: Please Verify and Publish your contract on Etherscan, I beg of you!!! πŸ™‡πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ

Without that, doing any analysis on MakersPlace is a huge hassle. Maybe that’s the intent, but come on, help me out here. Crypto is supposed to be all about open source. I'll pay you back in freshly baked carrot cake 🍰

Moving on, here is the data on the aggregated group of unique collectors from all four platforms πŸ‘‡

Creators who are Collectors: 15,764

% of Creators who Collect: 13.2%

Interestingly, the number of aggregated Creator-Collectors is higher than the sum of each platform’s native Creator-Collectors because some creators collect on platforms where they don’t mint themselves.

Disclaimers

(1) The USD value of purchases is based on the USD exchange rate for the cryptocurrency used for the purchase at the time of purchase.

(2) Creator and collector count are based on unique wallets. A user can collect and mint from multiple wallets, under different usernames, on the same platform. This lowers the reliability of the count.
